Episode 66: Dress the Part

Episode Summary

Performers must set themselves apart from the moment we arrive. There should be no doubt that you are there for a purpose.

Episode Notes

Performers must set themselves apart from the moment we arrive. There should be no doubt that you are there for a purpose.

People go to live events and shows for an experience and as the performer it is your job to give it to them. You appearance is a big part of that experience. People want to see a ROCKSTAR on stage not someone in t-shirt and jeans. You have to dress the part of a performer. Even before you are on stage, you have to appear as if you are there for a purpose. Put thought into what you want the audience to see while you are on stage. Do you want them to see someone just strumming away at a guitar? Some random guy doing a handstand? Some girl just playing with a hula hoop? Or do you want them to see a serious performer that takes their job seriously. Your job? To give them a show.
